Dress Professional, smile and nice firm handshake

It’s the wild wild west out there in the way of business dress these days. But still, always to be overdressed and polished then to be underdressed and apologize for your relaxed attire. Like it or not, you only have 7 second for someone to make up their mind about you. Your clothes and demeanor can say more about you in those 7 brief seconds more then you could talking.

Do you know how to give a proper handshake? Are you a limp flag wavers or hand crashing manic or firm and just right. Smile and look your new acquaintance in the eye and politely introduce yourself. This will set the stage in a positive for the remainder of the interview, perhaps give you a nice little confidence boost to get rolling!

Look your interviewer in the eye while conversing. Not saying to stare them down; but do keep your head up look them in the eyes and have a nice conversation not just answer questions.

Show your personality

This world would be very boring if we were all the same. We have high energy people, shy people yet strong, analytical people. Don’t be afraid to show the positive side of you. That’s why you are there. To determine if there is a match between you, your skill set and the company. It’s important you talk; not too much and learn about the role and if you are a proper fit.

Be honest with yourself and your answers.
